I am chasing the measurement on a V8 M20/21 from the front of the bellhousing face (where it contacts the block) to the center of the shifter. The reason for this is I want to fit a T5 from a VN into a HZ Tonner and I want to relocate the T5 shifter to be in the same position as the M20/21 so that it will go through the original floor hole and factory console hole. I do not wish to cut the floor or reposition the console further back to suit the T5s original shifter position. Would anyone know if this is possible using extension housings off other T5s available, eg 6 cyl EF/L Falcon ?? or is there some modifacation that can be preformed to the original box's shifter that will achieve what I am after?? Has anyone done this mod to a T5?? Would appreciate any positive accurate feedback. Cheers TD
