You should get good rive ability and if the Quaddy is set up well pretty good economy when running on front barrels. I beleive the KC manifold is fashioned on the HDT Blue motor manifolds and in a high performance situation flows a lot better. It would be

The KC253308 manifold is a copy of the HDT manifolds but it has ruffles in the plenum where the HDT one is smooth. Supposedly this is to create turbulence. Make sure you get 253 needles in the quadrajet though.

Hi there GTS_Ton,

I think u will find that a red manifold and blue ones are different. The blue should be an ADR manifold and will have lovely holes for an EGR valve. Hence you leaks.

Cheers John

The KC253308 suits both red and blue heads. It has all three bolt holes in the centre. Simply stick welsh plugs (supplied) in the non used holes.

Yes. Obviously the red 253 that you have isn't from a Commodore. Just use the sump and pickup off the Commodore blue motor on the red motor. Just give it a good clean first. Best bet is to use new high tensile bolts on the pickup as factory ones are not h
