Bit of a problem with the VN again. Ive just sold it and when driving the car to deliver it, i went around a corner and it died on me, then would'nt start due to flat battery. Rang up and got another battery bought out started first go but died again when i turned into my street.
the battery is 12.5v off and 14.3 at idle
would a bare wire on the o2 senser earthing against the exhaust going around a corner cause the car to stall?
What else could be draining that much battery power or did I just put two shagged battery's into it?
Any help would be worth my left nut at this stage as the car is sold and i dont want to give him a lemon.

Is your battery properly secured. I had a car once where the battery clamp went missing and I only realised when I turned a sharp corner and it shorted on the bonnet. It caused the car to stall as I guess it drew so much current there was nothing left f

LOL funny you say that. We drove the car around for about 1 year without the battery secured properly and only just went to the wreckers and bought the little plastic doo-hicky when I advertised the car. The batteries that I put in were being used in my s

Geez i just did what i give the wife **** for. Just checked the oil and it did not even register on the dipstick. Does the VN have a senser that would shut the motor off if it was low on oil? Would that be why it was cutting out around left hand corners?

I don't think so...the oil light would come on at the same time anyway...I would be looking at the battery, ignition and fuel pump wiring.

The oil pressure switch is linked to the fuel pump circuit, so if the fuel pump relay is dodgy it will still run on whilever you have oil pressure.

If your oil pressure drops, and the motor is relying on the oil pressure switch to run the pump (because
