i found a set of twin stromies for sale that need recon, is it very pricey to have this done, also how much of an effect would these have on power, economy etc, and can they be setup for use of straight gas?

the recon bit is easy...the parts should cost about $20 ea...they are very simple to do...do it yourself with the aid of a manual.

Power is good...economy is OK...it will never be as good as a single.

It would be hard to set them up for straght gas

Holley 350 makes a great straight gas throttle body. Worked better on my EH than it ever did as a petrol carby.
