Hi guy's, I just have a question about my series 1 V6 & T700 gearbox. I have converted my EH Ute to a complete VN V6, including complete VN wiring harness (body and engine), drive line and brakes. As my VN motor still needs to be rebuilt (has been stripped and cleaned/checked and only 60,000k's) I'm just weighing up my options as far as the Motor goes. My drama is that the T700 box has been rebuilt and worked and I want to keep it. What model Commy V6 will this box bolt upto without to much drama? So basically what model motor can you drop into a VN series 1 commy and keep the box. VP, VR?? Just getting some options......I'm ok to rebuild the series1 myself but just thinking about a newer motor. I got the commy and EH 8 years ago and due to work I am only just getting to the finnish line now. Cheer's
life's to short not to be....

If you have a VN or VP computer, then you can use the TH700R4 behind any VN-VR V6 without a prob.

Cheer's mick, just was not sure if the series1 T700 would work behind a VR.... All my wiring harness is series1 VN V6. Depends if I come across a low K's VR, if not I'll just rebuild the series1. IF I find one I'll get more into Q's about wiring and box c

Yep the VR's had the elect shift but more concerned with any engine block pattern changes for the VS etc, not shy of sorting electrics out but if don't bolt up then no hope...... so hence the next question. I passed on a very low K's and cheap VT superch

If you want a super6, get a VS one as they are more suited to your conversion (there are differences in VS>VT).
If you have a super6, you;ll need the PCM from the donor car (VS) which will allow you to run the electronic auto anyway from the same ca |
