I am trying to find the right size allen key to remove the panel that holds in the light switch in my HZ ute, the dash is GTS, and the nuts look like a five sided pattern, that I can't find a match for. Any suggestions ?

if only i knew then what i know now !!!

I dont know the nuts you are talking about, but if its just the light switch you want to take out then the knob and shaft come out if you reach round the back and push the little release button, its best to do it with the switch in the on (o

Hi Chefo

Mate are you actually trying to remove the Switch shaft from the Unit that sits behind the Actual dash and bodies construction?

If so, Its not an Allan key holding the assembly in place. You only need to pull the Switch out then reach under

Hi chefo.

Those 5-sided allen screws you're trying to undo are just cast immitation. The whole instrument facia is 1 piece of plastic. Follow what the other guys have said about removing the light switch shaft & knob.

cheers fellas, i'll give it a try when I get home tomorrow morning. I bought a new switch assembly off ebay, and wasn't sure how to change the unit out.

if only i knew then what i know now !!!
