Guys
Added a preliminary Holden red 6 to 350 engine number reference to my website. Its currently missing EH, HD and most HR prefixes ie 149, 161, 179 and 186 data. I haven't added the 138 and 130 cube red 6's yet but I'm pretty right with the 138 and also with the HK-HG 161. Just need a bit of help with the EH-HR prefixes and the export only 130 cuber in HQ. The 304/308 section may also be missing a few Commodore prefixes - welcome any suggestions. The other confusing ones are the X prefixed ADR27A LX/UC and some HX engines. Not sure what was going on here. Probably due to NSW ADR27/27A rules being different to rest of Australia at the time. What's here is from my observations. Some of the blue motor 'Nasco'/GMP&A prefixes need work too.

Thanks. Good EH-HR data. Lots of codes missing in the HQ-WB ranges though. Helps out heaps in correlating the LX/UC data too. |

Hi Byron, Here are some odd ball prefixs for the HG 6/71 comercial vehicles . 173LC-GE , 173HC- GD, 202LC-GM, 202HC-GL , engine sizes are correct as these comercials ran along side the HQ`s for a short time. 130 export HQ is QA. 130 export LC is 130T or

Cloudy, I already have the HG 173 and 202, but did they not put a 130 HC in an LC?
Mick, did the VSIII 179kW engine have the VM prefix? Also did the VSIII Statesman survive into the roller cam engine era - if so was it also a VM? On the |

So summarising:
The early VSIII should be a VU prefix (165kW or 185kW for the HBD engine) or VM prefix for the later 179kW engine. We are unsure as to whether the HBD 195kW VSIII ute would have had a VM or VN prefix.
What about a VSIII Maloo? When |

Hi Byron.
I don't want to steal your thread, but while we're on the subject of engine number prefixes, can anybody on the site check out a 300 kW HSV GTS etc & look at it's prefix.
You asked about Gen 3 prefixes, AFAIK know they are all VF with the |
