I've heard of HQ racers liking the "3 rib block". Never knew why though.

If it's only got 4 numbers it's an early VB block. I've seen a few early red Commodore blocks with 202 on them. Not sure when the 3.3 became standard, possibly when Qx numbers ran

I understand it was dynoed, but to know it has 200kW at the flywheel means the engine was pulled out and put on an engine dyno. Otherwise its an estimate based upon rear wheel kW that is not very accurate. Why I asked is that these engines were rated at 1

Both. Only difference is SVU is in a Statesman. If it's a VQ I think the HSV/HBD were still 180kW, and the 185kW was VR or VS pre VM engines from memory. (Except for the VM prefixed VSIII/VT engine - also not sure if these had SVM for the 195kW HBD VSIII

I find it hard to believe, in the 130cid, in a HT-G Export motor, should it be a 138? i have seen them 138 in LC toranas with a 2250 badge guards, but never seen a 130 in a torana, and never seen a 2200 badge torana in aus. i would think the 138 and 161 1
