looken at getting a vt V8 ss is it worth getting the 5l or just go try get the series 2 motor with the 5.7 l ? thanks mark

The 5L are a nice car but the gen 3 is more efficient and more powerful, and all around just better and the prices aren't that much dearer. but that's my view.
if it ain't broke we can improve it.

Look I have the last of the VS SIII stato's and I have the Holden 185kw motor. I wanted one of the last Aust V8's. Well its like this, I personaly know three people who own a GenIII, one of them is my brother. And guess what- Mate 1- Burning oil at 80,00

the VT 304 was the 2nd best Motor GMH ever put into a car, had sequntial injection and a rollercam standard. the best was the 350ci HSV version

Crowe mentioned the 185 kW motor being available in the last of the VS IIIs.
The 185 kW motor was an option from the beginning of VR (VN/VP were 180 kW). The late VS III had the 195 kW version of the VT sequential 304 as an option & a few |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

vsIII ute 179 KW 5.0 5sp Ihad to use 95 octane when hot days or it was gutless my 3.8 vsII auto on 91 octane could just hose it off. knock sensors? sold it at 57000 km. for new vy ss can run shell 91 oct no prob but caltex 91 and 95 is crap in it? al
