Ive got a Xb gs farimont .I had the engine rebuilt 12mths ago ,sorry its a 351 clevland. i wanted Heaps of touque but it had to run on lpg only . so he gave me a list of extras ,EG. 4 2 1 extractors edelbrock dual plain manifold lumpy gas cam holly 750 vucume secondary carbs impco duel fuel gas system he built the engine for tourque.. but i have to say it seems to lack power , it doesnt realy go unless its above 3500 rpm .last dyno it had about 114hp is this right for a 351 clevland.how can i get this engine to boogie .
if i fit gas reasearch carbs will that fix the problem ??? thanks for any help you can give me .. David

114 hp a dirty mazda 4cyl would have that.something must be wrong.i noticed the same with my cleveland (it didn't sort of go until it was reving) thats why i bought a windsor which i recon are a crisper motor.you will get it to go but i dont know anything

It's not right most are doing atleast 160 rear wheel horse power. A mates clapped out million k old 302 did 90rwkw (120rwhp). The engine was barely running. It was replaced with a 400-450hp 351 3 months later.

Also make sure it hasn't chewed the cam up. It seems quite common with clevelands.

Thanks for you comments .Hey xb351 ,Im sure ive seen that xb around my way .NICE CAR looks mean.. who would be the best people to take my 351 to that knows how to get it going right .I thought that 114rwhp wasnt right I was kinda spewin i spent good$$$$ d

If your out my way? Dandenong area? I'd recommend Hallam Performance (9703-3030) speak with Andrew or Mark. They do all my tuning and some of the mechanical work on my car.

I took another of my XB's (now deceased) in there with a 180rwkw tune that pin

Thanks xb351 thats just around the corner.Ill give them a call I was just around that way .My XB is out of action till the weekend Crap job on the gas snorkel,pulled the post out of the carbie Left me stuck good and proper ,Borrowed tha work car ,GUESS WH
