Yes if you give me the model number, body number and engine code of the body id plate and the build date of the compliance plate I can tell you what the VIN would be.

Update on search.

For any one wanting to do the same.
(ALL HJ Coupes Came out of the SYD Plant)
I've been Investigating further and have obtained micro-fische data detailing all feb/march 76 coupes with body numbers.
As posted above I have a chassis

If you have the Fisch details of all cars built in 76 then you have the details that GM-H can confirm, this is it. They do not have colour and trim. To narrow your seach why not go and find out what engine it had in it originally at the motor registry.

If you have colour and trim then you have the body ID plate and therefore the info for the micro fische, as the body number is placed after an H for the PSN

I do not have the L/H Side Tag, only the Body with original Paint (Jamica Lime) and black seats and door trims with fish net type material inserts.
However gathering chassis/body numbers from SYD cars it is allowing me to narrow down bet

VIN for a HJ will be the chassis number ie AHJxxxxxS which will be on your chassis rails. The xxxxx part will be fairly close to the number stamped into the cowl or firewall, normally within 50 or so for an AH chassis number. As Warren has said you have a

I do not understand what info you have rockett. As we stated if you have the tag with the paint and trim on it then as Byron showed for a Sydney car of that vintage you can use the body number on the tag to determine the VIN.

Sorry for the confusion per page 1 I have no I.D. tags.
Only chassis Number and fire wall stamp.
The Info I previously gave (GMH NOT FROM THIS HJ COUPE) was only the
V.I.N and chassis Number. GMH replied with details including the colou

OK for start lets stop calling the chassis numebr the V.I.N. As the VIN on an HJ is NOT the chassis number, it is the long skinny tag, which you do not have.

So you gave them the number stamped on the chassis. Now the problem with this is it is removab
