Hi Guys Just Wondering If Anyone Has Had any experience With putting a cd play into HZ Gts Dash I use to have a cd player in the old dash which was in it when I bought it. But I went to the wreckers and Found another dash Complete and in wood grain and the guy at the wreckers musnt know much got it for 150 Bucks and sold the old dash on ebay for $280 so I am a winner anyway I only have the original hole in the new dash facia that suit the old player with the 2 knobs, And the other prob I have is the backing plate that was originally in their I replaced with the one from the wreckers cause my old one was stuffed half the screw holes the facia goes onto had snapped off so this backing plate has the same size hole as the facia just wondering the best way to cut it out I dont want to stuff it up been down that road in the past and dont want to do it again

Gotta agree with Byron there...put an original type radio in the dash slot and your real stereo in the glovebox. If it has a Remote Controller, so much the better.

Cheers...Dave

agree with Byron, stick it in the glove box or under the dash.

Put it in the glove box - mounted to the roof]top of the glovebox. So other crap can slide below it. Use a SONY with a wireless remote and away u go ! Removable faceplate - or lock the glovebox and its outa site !!

Cheers John

I found it was easy to put my original facia away and the cut out another one it looks good as the head unit I have spins the face around to a blank plate.

Cheers,
Pete.

I agree with the rest if you cut it you will de value it to the next buyer.
I will be be putting a cd deck in my HQSS glove box, in the dash sits an Airchief 13 push button factory radio and looks great.
