I have seen it on prems with a salisbury diff. I think any hk,ht,hg cars with a salisbury diff only have the hump. They are making the hump section after market now. Luke.

Are the after market Humps are Rare spares item. If not where do you get them and cost. This will be useful to me due to fitting a 9-inch to the HT.

The hump was intended to clear a 12-bolt, not a 10-bolt. You dont need the hump for a 10-bolt, and I dont think you need it for a 9" either. They were fitted to all Salisbury equipped HK-HG though, even though the 12-bolt was optional only on 81837 manual |

I had a 9-inch in a HK Monaro many years ago and it used to hit the floor pan in front the fuel tank. Would be good to make sure clearance is not a prob this time around. Phone number would be great. Cheers If you want to fight a war you’ve got to Edited by user Sunday, 7 May 2006 5:33:50 AM(UTC)

Is the hump required for clearance of a posi-trac? I know these were a fairly rare item on the HK/T/Gs. Its nice to know these things before they go bang. Also, does anyone know how to change member details... Ive joined up & it keeps comming up anonymous

If anyone has a HK-HG 12-bolt housing and axles I'd be very interested. I need one for my HK GTS427 project. |

Does anyone know where to get the aftermarket salisbury hump that Luke spoke of in this post or a second hand cut?

The standard Salisbury in HK-HG was a 10-bolt. You could order a 12-bolt in HK (and later) in the 1837 manual models, but only in lower ratios.
