I've been hearing rumours lately from a few cabbies that LPG prices are set to rise and would match petrol prices by roughly 2009-2010.
Is there any truth to this, or has anyone heard this word on the streets also??
AS I'm considering converting my 302 Windsor to gas it makes a big bloody difference if the prices are going up and my investment wouldn't be returned.

LPG is a by product that is of little use to the oil refineries hence why they burn this stuff off at an alarming rate. LPG will never be as high as petrol but rises are on the cards as more people start to fing it as an alternitive. realisticly LPG shoul

Hi Guys, At the end of the day it's all about supply and demand. If the market is strong the price will creep up. Personally I'm not buying this crap about the political situation in the middle east driving up fuel prices, I think it's the fuel compani

yeah, my Fairlane is a regular driver & gas is looking like a really good option right now.
but the engine mods + gas set-up required means a couple years of regular driving to start to see any return.
I put up an earlier post: "crate motors and gas con

LPG is going to attract an excise like petrol has at some stage. Possibly 2010?? That's why the prices are rising. It's actual excise not a price rise as such.

It should never equal the price per litre of petrol because you use more LPG per km travelled than petrol.

If LPG goes up 2c per litre it has the same effect on the wallet as petrol going up 3c per litre.

Hi Fred,
I am of the understanding that LPG isn't Pollution free, but is greatly reduced significantly. LPG is a by-product of Crude so it has an emission. It isn't as clean as a hydrogen fuel cell or soalr power, but by todays standards it is very clean

corty1975,
This article may be a little behind the times, because my '04 Magna is factory gas, the price in NSW at the moment is floating around 55-60cents p/l. I have to say it does burn faster, but the tanks are bigger (70L) and overall saving is massi

The only thing stopping me crossing over to LPG in my '69 Fairlane which is all origional, means i'm jeperdising it's origionality by putting a gas tank in the trunk and all

can't see LPG going as high as petrol, LPG is a by product in the making of petrol,so they either burn it or sell it,

I've heard you can drop a Holden motor into a Toyota Hiace Van. Can any-one tell me how hard it is? Where can I get more info on this subject? Thanx
