I read that they were changing over huge amounts of public and private vehikles in england, with the help of the gov, to run LNG, and LPG, and that there are emissions, but they are 20% of petrol, and even less than that with diesal,, they do emit, but i
more than basketcase than a bear!

Well guy's Brisbane LPG has reached 79 cents.........what a load of crap, 5 years ago I was paying 16 cents a litre, no almost 80 cents ! if only my wages went up at the same rate. I once read that LPG would never cost more than half the price of petrol..

I got my EL SW converted to straight gas about 18 months ago (just before the bloody rebate came in :-). I sing for a crust, so drive a bit. It works out about 1/2 - 2/3 the price for travelling on LPG as it is for petrol.

Other advantage is I reckon

Someone is rippingof Aussies in a big way but is there any one to stop it????
It is a challenge????why we pay .70 cents alitr for LPG being an Aussie and Japan pay amere of .4cents a ltr. for LPG. SHAME TO POLITICIANS.

Yep the answer to that problem is easy....Just whack a massive Export tax on it so it's not worth the oil companies selling it overseas and if they do the government can put the money into heath, education or roads.

I can remember back in the late 80's when LPG was about 9 cents a litre, thats when it was a by product of the refining process, now it's a nice earner for the mongrels.

LPG excise starts in 2011 at 2.5c/l and will go up each year thereafter until it reaches 12.5c/l
