they are both about the same pice really because the 186 and 202 are identicall only diffrance is the bore and stroke soo 202 would b slightly cheaper if u wanted to bore the 186 out but other wise what you do to 1 you can do to the other to a extent

202 is the same bore as a 186. Only the stroke is different. 202 pistons are cheaper normally. The 202 will always be more powerful, and is always my choice. |

my mistake byron is right and yes 202 has way more low doen torque and power then the 186 but if u want a higher reving engin go to 186
|

I'm with Damien, but i'm biassed... It depends what exactly you want from it.
My 179HP (186 cubic inches now) is making 142kW at the flywheel. I'm still using the 350 Holley, and in my UC Torana it has plenty of torque. I cant launch at the drags ab

Perhaps yer suspension needs setting up a little better and some bigger/better tires.
Hows it all going other than that? I still haven't had time to get my brothers 202 finished yet. It's been in the panel shop getting painted and now waiting for interio
