EMAIL ENQUIRY FROM CASS:

Hi,

I would be extremely grateful if you could tell me what month of 1971 the first Statesman's were rolled off the factory floor?

I've got an old purple girl who was made in August of 1971 and I'm curious to find out how close to the beginning she was made.

My husband seems to think it was July but I'd like to know for sure.

I've tried Holden and Rare Spares via email but they didn't have a clue.

Cheers
Cass Hartin

Hi leith.

The official release date for the HQ series was 15 July '71.

There was a worker's strike in that year that delayed the release & I've seen HQs with a 6/71 Compliance date.

Cheers guys for the responses, your comments were forwarded onto Cass.

It's bloody amazing though that it took just 15 minutes for a response that Holden itself couldnt answer.
