Howdy all. I have a late 1974 HQ GTS4 with 308 auto, factory electric windows and arial. Original colour is orchid metalic (Pink) and the interior is 38Z doeskin black and cloth (Light cream everywhere with black dash)
Is this what you would call a rare colour scheme? Just interested if I have something a little rare. I havent seen to many pink monaros around. Thanks . . Wayne

Yes, that is a fairly rare colour scheme, not too many would have ordered an Orchid Metallic HQ GTS.
I have noticed though, that the 1974 HQs that I have seen are quite often optioned up as yours is, electric windows, aerial, cloth trim et |

it was to dispose of the excess trims & equipment before the HJ was released, same as with the last of UC toranas & sunbirds, they had all the good stuff like full tinted glass, GTS S/wheel, alloys & even A/C ect..

I do not think it would be to use up trim, as this is made as required, not in large amounts before hand. After all you would not be able to accurately predict what colours would be popular much less ones with option. Remember to that Premier and GTS seda
