Hi all,

just inquiring about the yellow needle gts clock in my wb ute. i haven't seen many that actually work. Mine doesn't work. did these clocks generally give poor performance? and is their anywhere were you can buy yellow needle ones aftermaket (i.e. rare spares)? Or does anyone out there have one that works?

Hi Peter.

Yes, the failure rate of clocks from the 70s is high, not just Holdens either. The old mechanical design isn't that durable.

Phone around the instrument places & find somwone who can convert the clock to a modern quartz movement. I've had

In addition to Terry's advice above, do a search of Fastlane as Commodorenut (Mick) has posted a DYI guide on here to fixing the early clocks but it was quite a while ago now.

thanks for that guys will look around brisbane and see how i go.....if anyone has any local places they know of or if they have fixed their clock up let me know!

Hi Pete,
I've got a yellow needle GTS clock in my WB van which works fine. If you've had the battery out and connect it back up the clock doesn't start working until you give it a kick start and move the hands around a touch. I'm just guessing here but I
