I put a engine out of my HQ in a HJ. I left the senders for the temp and oil pressure gauges in the engine and when I put it in the HJ, I fitted a HJ premier dash with temp and oil perssure gauges. But they aren't working. Are HJ senders different from HQ's.
(Before anyone asks, they are senders for gauges, not warning lights)

Yeah mate the senders/gauges work opposite in a HJ from HQ, I found out the hard way, you will need part no. 9932442 oil presure sender, rare spares have 'em, not sure about the temp sender no. Cheers Nathan

That's interesting. The Qute had one of the triple gauge clusters in it when I bought her with all the gauges working. When I put the WB Stato dash in her, the senders worked the WB gauges just the same...

Might be one of those early/late HQ things, Dave? Is your HQ a late HQ? If so, it might explain why it works with the Stato dash. Maybe Sandman has an early HQ engine, before the change.

HD to HQ, WB Satesman, HB to LJ Torana and VB to VK Commodore use one sender, and HJ to HX and WB with GTS dash and LH to LX use the other. I am unsure which one the UC uses
