Hello All, Are the body shells of the 4 cyl and 6 cyl LC and LJ Toranas the same with the only differences forward of the firewall? Thanks

Basically, yes, but there are differences....probably the most major is that the rear suspension pick-up points are different IIRC.

They are basically the same from the windscreen back. The front panels on the 4 cyl are different. The front ends are shorter and there are differences in suspension etc.

I assume for production costs, the body shells would have been the same. A workmate has raised this today as a project being considered.

Due to the fact of the dwindling availability and the cost of 6cyl coupe bodies it isn't a bad option if engineeri

From the firewall forward including the firewall from memory and the rear suspension mounting points and I seem to remember that the actual floor pan in that area is different too. From when we looked at doing this in the end we decided it would be easier

Yes, alot of people have jumped on this bandwagon lately, given the price of a 6 cyl 2 Dr.

roof, doors rear qtrs and boot area only bits the same..oh and some interior bits
