Ive got a fairlane ghia 1998 on duel fuel,what I want to know how offen should I run it on petrol,I start it when cold on petrol

I was told to start my xe once a week on petrol to keep the seals in the carby from drying out.The advice served me well for the ten years that we owned cabs.Regards
