G'day all,

I have got word that some early Fords had hydraulic assist power steering using an actual hydraulic ram. Does anyone have any more information about this or know of where a setup like this could be found? Sorry but im not too familiar with these models and do not have any more information.

Cheers

XW and XYs had the ram style power steer. What are you wanting the power steer to go in? Car? Boat?

Thanks Paul much appreciated.
The plan is to adapt it to a Suzuki Sierra. Proble with the stock steering is that your limited as to how far it will travel. With the hydraulic ram mounted to the axle housing the steering links wont be limited and more fle
