gday there folks. i'm a newby here. gotta couple of questions:
My HQ Ute has a HX GTS dash fitted, but it is a very avergae fit (i have a HZ with the same dash). the trims that come down the pillars sait higher than the top of the dash, and i cant seem to fit the lower half under the steering column. it was like this when i got it (there was autometer guages in the way) is there anything i can do to make it all fit nice & neat??
Also does anyone know if those chrome guage pods mounted in the scuttle panel are illegal in Vic??
if so why?
also last thing. knowing sweet F.A. about Chev motors how can you tell what sort of vintage one is and the actual size?? the bloke said it was a 350. it has Edelbrock heads & manifold and a 600 holley, genie extractors etc.

and Autometer sport comp temp guage. i don't think this works as it never moves!!! the

For engine info on any chev small or big block, go to www.mortec.com .They list casting numbers of every chev engine and cylinder head. Edited by user Friday, 25 August 2006 3:12:06 AM(UTC)

Hi Guys.
To answer the original question, every HJ/HX/HZ dash I've seen fitted to an HQ looks the same as you describe, they're bloody terrible.
Because there are so many differences in the way that the dash & steering column mount, not many people |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
