Im thinking of converting my wifes v6 vs ute to v8. If i can i will find a smashed v8 ute and transfer everything over but if i cant find one for the right price i might just buy a motor and computer and loom and do it that way. My question is can i use the diff and auto already fitted???

cheers in advance.

Auto no.

Diff yes, but it will most probably only be a single spinner.

You will need the V8 tailshaft too - from a ute, stato/caprice or wagon (sedan is shorter).

Easiest swap is to get a V8 motor & box, plus the loom & computer, from another VS
Cheers,

Mick

Also be wary of the later VSIII's. Although the roller cam V8 is a good engine there are extra conversion headaches to tackle trying to put it into an earlier VS. My advice would be to sell the V6 ute and buy a V8 ute in similar condition. With the price
