hi all,
currently getting Grey motor rebuilt as follows:
mild grind, alloy timing gear, twin rebuilt 1 1/32 strommies & extractors, rebuilt head(port & polish, hardened inserts etc), but otherwise stock. Also getting the 3 speed crash box rebuilt.
how long should the run in period be for these? will there be any additional time cause the gearbox is done at same time?
Thanks in advance.

John - interesting. My engine builder specifically told me the first drive had to have significant low rev labouring - said it was particularly important. Yet a quick google confirms what you say.
Well there you go - shows why it's important to liste

Yes it's always interesting to take on board what people say and apply your own analysis. But even with a well run in motor it is never wise to labour it, like a lot of people never get out of top gear and wonder why the clutch and drive train and motor
