Can anyone help, I having trouble with the drivers side rear brake caliper . It seems to lock all the time , the tire still turns buit get really hot as the caliper still applies I have pulled it to peices and cleaned it with a rag and reassebled it and it still is locking . theres no preasure when I release the bleeder valve .. its got me stuffed .... anyone ???

Might have an idea. Check the handbrake return spring and also check for wear where the callipers connect to the diff. We had that once and the callipers were moving where they mount to the diff causing them to howl on the disc and heat up.

thanks for the advice, just put a caliper kit through it to see if that was it, the movement is less than perfect so I suspect what your saying to be part of the problem, if not all of it. Will post when I finally work it out.

Solution found
brakes wearing uneven, caliper not floating on guides properly, had to buy special grease and replace pads, caliper kit didnt hurt total cost $110 still cheaper than taking it to the mechanics

What car is it mate? Did the piston go back nice & easy when you re-built the caliper? Should lubricate the seal with rubber grease or brake fluid & the slides need Hi temperature bearing grease or copper grease. if it's an integrated park brake setup mak
