MOTOR racing champion driver Peter Brock is reported to have died in a racing accident in Western Australia, according to Sky News.

Yes I just heard.
He died driving a Daytona according to the news.

RIP a legend. To many Australians this will probably be a bigger loss than Steve Irwin.

Nine-times Bathurst 1000 winner and Australian motor racing legend Peter Brock has been killed while competing in the Targa West Tarmac Rally in Western Australia.

Brock was partnered by Mick Hone in the race and they were competing in a Daytona Coupe.

The news of Brocky left me feeling numb and shocked.

I think anyone with a passion for motorsport, Ford or Holden, has been floored by this. Brocky may have driven for Holden but he was well respected by the Ford boys too.
What a bastard of a week it's been for Aussie Icons.

As a Kid I watched Peter rise to his former glory as he concurred 'The Mountain' and followed him as a loyal supporter till the day of his professional retirement. I thought the Guy was an out right legend hands down. remembering the days of Bathurst with

my earliest memories of brocky were catalina at the rally cross...rest in motorsport heaven brock...sadly missed...
