In my own personal opinion. Waste of time and money putting that kit on.
Honestly, having an LX you can quite simply go the V8 option. Yes it will cost more, but it will give you more power and reliability per dollar. |

Totally agree. For the money you will spend and the relative decrease in reliability you will see pumping big horses out of a little 6 a near stock V8 will give you better service. Find a rusty LX with a 253 in it already and swap over the engine, box, di |

The whole idea of supercharging is to replace the efficientcy of the given motor's partential. Increase this efficency and the nead to supercharge becomes less of an advantage in the chase for power!
CRS's chargers are to small to justify the cost and |

If u decide to go the V8 way, I'm nearly finished my 253 build, which you can buy off me. It runs a 390 holley, flat top pistons, i plan to skim the heads, and the dizzy, alternator, and oil pump are all included. I'm located in NSW

Just a quick note - flat top pistons are standard on early 253s. Later examples (ADR27A) had lumpy tops for higher compression. |
