I just bought and applied 4 litres of Acrylic modified Enamel auto paint, under the impression that it could be cut and polished. The paint guy at work even claims to have done so. What I want to know is has anyone here ever attempted such a thing and to what degree of success?

I would suggest you get any instructions or directions directly from the place that supplied the paint. They should have the correct knowledge, experience and products to do the job.

Hell you can even polish nasty old turps based houshold enamel...... you just have to wait long enough for it to go off properly.....
Paint the car when you first get your licence..... polish the week after your first born childs second birthday.:)
