Hi all. Hoping someone might be able to help me out. Today were cruising at 90km and something let go. Now it is backfiring out the carb (loud popping) Seems to have slight rumble in the cam by the sound of it. Had the dizzy out and seems fine. Rebuilt motor bout 20000km ago with reground cam and new bearings. I didn't rebuild it but have reciepts. Thinking this might be common. Thanks in advance. Mmmm maybe. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Tomorrow night I will.
Have heard that 308 pressed rockers are weak links too?

Had a similar thing happen - was a busted lifter, which went on to destroy the cam.
The Beige Hornet.

Sorted. Punched a pushrod through a rocker.
Cheers for your help. Thomas
