Hi folks, I'm preparing to re-install the screen in my ZD. What sort of sealant have people used in the past? I'm getting conflicting stories about tubes of sealant versus some kind of seal that has a wire through it that you connect to a battery charger and melt onto the car so i thought i would post the question here to hopefully get the benefit of other's experience.
Thanks

Originally your Fairlane would have had a tar based seal that has a wire embedded in it.

You connect either end of the wire to a car battery via jumper leads & the wire becomes a heating element which softens the tar & allows you to remove or insta

Thanks Jim, I'll hunt down the tar based wire heated one.
Cheers
