Hiding wiring on a VL and am running the wiring thru the guards and need to lengthen the wire to the air flow meter. Now the thing is this is a shielded wire and with the VL being so forgving with its electrics (ha ha) want to know how to do this and keep the integrity of the shielding?

I've found an easy way with foil shielded stuff (like some data cables) is to join your inner wires up - staggered along from each other, heatshrink them, then wrap some alfoil over it, and heatshrink the lot.
For cable that is shielded by a braid or s |
