hi fellow holden lovers,i have a hq ute with a 308 black motor, with a worn out holden 4 speed and a 3.55 diff.im looking for a lower ratio diff and a 5 speed.,my question is, what would be the best 5 speed to put in it and would any toyota 5 speeds fit in suitably as i have a toyota paseo gearbox(same as tercel)in the shed.if that does fit, would i chew it up in the first week? any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have no idea about the Paseo gearbox, but would suggest that your best bet would be to fit a Toyota Supra gearbox. The conversion is fairly straight forward with a Dellow or similar kit (shifter position is pretty good and the tailshaft doesn't need sho

Hi Guys.

Tercels & Paseos are FWD, HQs are RWD, the gearbox will not be compatible. Use a Supra box behind your V8 if you want a 5-speed.
