I'm building a hot rod and am thinking of using a EB Ford diff with the 28 spline axles, the engine I'm running is a 253 Holden V8 will this diff be strong enough.

Within the road rules, no burnouts actually when I'm highway I perfer to drive at 90klms my hoodlems days are long gone.

Yeah mine too.

I think the diff would be strong enough if you treat it well.

I've seen the way some of the younger generation flog around in those EB's and I don't believe that broken diffs is something that they are known for.

A 253 isn't exactl

I would say that you are under stressing the 28 spline unit behind a 253. Holden used the 28 spline unit for VN's onward in both V6 & EFI 5 litre applications. Ford used it behind the 5 litre and the 351 if you want to go all the way back to XD-XE days.
