Hi Looking for info, my hq ls monaro has a factory sunroof fitted, not the rag type but the panel type like the hj. iS THIS LIKELY TO HAVE BEEN FACTORY FITTED? AS A SPECIAL OPTION.???? anyone know

Warren, I have a HJ coupe with a factory sunroof. I was told that there were only about 40 coupes produced with this option. Would that be correct?

Thanks Warren, so quite possibly this sunroof may have been fitted by an approved GMH contractor. The story behind this car, is that it was a fully optioned LS Monaro 350 that was one of Hq's built to be GMH cars for display at various motor shows. I don

I also had an LS HQ with a factory sunroof. I only ever bought it to wreck, so I never stripped back the paint to see how it was done. I thought it was factory, but it just as easily could have been a factory item fitted to a secondhand car. It was bright

I think when an original HQ turns up with a build sheet that has 'sunroof' as an option this will always be debated. I have a 5/73 GTS sedan with a factory slide back sunroof but no build sheet to say it is originally fitted....so I figure it was fitted a

As far as I know Hollandia is the manufacturer.....and was told that parts are still available for old models though I have never checked. I see via the white pages there is a Hollandia Sunroofs located in Caringbah. I am not sure if this is the original

Hollandia at Caringbah are the official Aussie distributors (and fitters) of Hollandia stuff.

I have bought spares from them for a TVS44 (VS HSV type) and a mate also had a 700 rolled edge sunroof fitted there.

I have several HQ build sheets and there is no provision for sunroof on any of them, I stand by if not available for HJ release then how could they be available in an HQ.

Imagine if Holden just today offered an option on the VE and stated that

my rooflining was the orginal material, I have since learned from a ex gmh employee who worked in the dandenong plant at the time hq were made that almost anything goes when it comes to protype specials. He said most likely the sliding sunroof was fitted

Sounds like you are in the exact same situation I am......no way to trace the original owner or original rego. One point with my vehicle that may be worth checking on yours.....mine was an early May 73 vehicle but delayed off the production line b
