Getting the HG resprayed in original green colour in the next couple of months, complete with stripes. Have some vinyl roof chrome, getting mixed opinions on whether to fit a vinyl roof... People seem to either hate it or love it.. Apparently they came in 2 colours, tan and black?

So for the ultimate retro look, should I drill some holes and get a vinyl roof fitted while its at the shop? (I personally think they look ok)..
Or do you think it might hinder the smooth coupe look?

Anyone done this? Anyone have any pics of a monaro with a tan vinyl roof?

Cheers
Mick

See if you can find a 1/24 scale HK Trax. These were mad in blue with black vinyl roof. Look good, even on the more aggressive HK.

I once had an HK GTS Monaro, looked fantastic with Blue Mist metallic paint, silver hood and bootlid stripes running up the centre,
and Black Vinyl top with chrome trims, with a black rear window louvre.
Wish I still had it, but that was in N.Z some twe

Cheers for the heads up with the rust kill, cloudy, it has a little bit of rust already above the quater window where the bailey channel is. Once I get that repaired and rust proofed I think that I am going to go for a tan roof to distinguish it from the

Hi Paul
It looks like I won't do it for now, but I'd like to to hang on to the bits as it originally had the vinyl- maybe sometime in the future I'll attach it.
Good luck with your seach, youll find that a lot of people have them stored away from when t
