G'Day to all. The drive to Canberra and back to Adelaide has produced that terminal noise from the diff in my 'tunna. It's a 3.08 Salisbury that has had the mounts modified (welded) from a sedan by the looks of it. Before I go for a scrounge through the wreckers I'd thought I'd ask if the ute's, van,s and tonners i.e. commercials, are all the same from drum to drum (apart from ratios)? If so, anyone have a cheap 3.36 to suit in Adelaide ???? As it carrys a ton the 3.08 is way too tall with the 4spd.
Thanks for the help. Steve

all the same except the tunna has a larger pinnion yoke...how to tell what you already have is ubolts have 1/2 inch nuts if its tunna and normal v8 has 7/16...if you do buy one from a ute/van you can buy a step down universal for around 50 bucks... |

All sorted now thank's. Was a buggered wheel bearing. Strange though, I've done a couple of banjo's before and it sounded almost the same as when they stuffed up.
