how much oil should go up through the pcv valve to the carby. I have a hq 308 with standard tappet covers with the hose running into the front of the base of a standard rochester. the hose always has oil in it. iam running a vn oil pump and the oil guage always sits about half way.

there will probably always be at least a trace, as it allows the manifold vacuum to scavenge the air in the rocker covers at low vacuum (accellerating usually) which is when you can expect the valve train to be thrashing around and geenrating a lot of oil |
