hi there

i recently purchased a vt ss 1 5.0L 5 speed and under the bonnet it has a holden by design badge and on the rear it has a 195i badge on it, can someone please tell if its something good or just a fake, from my understanding the vt 5's came with 185 motors but not to sure.

please help!!!

In VN-VS, HSV did the HSV enhanced range.

You could get the upgraded V8 (VN/Q/P = 180kw, VR/S = 185kw) on SS, Berlina, Calais, Stato & Caprice models.

In VT & later VS3 LWB models, HBD took this over. The "enhanced" engine for the VT was the 195kw

In the VS III ute sales brochure it shows the 195i HBD engine as an option. Apart from the 215kW 5.7 stroker, the VL and VN Group A EFI engines and arguably the race equipped L34 (Dellortos or Holley, Cam etc) this is probably the pick of the whole of the
