I'm looking at a 350 chev and T350 combo for my hg ute.
1. Apart from the actual gearbox, are Tailshaft, shifter, coolant lines, cross member and speedo cable all that is needed to complete it?
2. I have a vague idea of how torgue converters work. This may sound like a stupid question, but T350 has the converter in the gearbox right? Would it be better to buy a T350 from a wreckers etc or somewhere selling them rebuilt or try and score a donor car?
3. Any idea of how many horses a stock 327/350 puts out?

Hi Byron, All good information there. Just one correction, the HT/G auto and all HQ 350's were rated at 275 hp, IIRC. Cheers...Dave Edited by user Tuesday, 5 December 2006 11:37:13 AM(UTC)

Don't you mean lysdexic! But seriously, sometimes when I'm typing I will quickly read it back, and for example intend to type 308 but have typed 253. The whole time i'm thinking 308 as I'm talking about TH blocks etc, but 253 appears. The 250hp slip was a |
