just rebuilt a 250 crossflow engine put all new bearings, piston rings lifters and front and rear main seal.
have put it all back together and now the crank wont turn over can anyone help me out here please, i have tighten all the bearings and caps down to the right measuements.

did it the crank turn freely when u first put it in and torqued up the caps maybe u put in the wrong size bearings

Sounds like you have the wrong size bearings or you've managed to mix the mains or rod caps up?

Take the big end caps off and see if the crank turns. if so its the big ends. if not loosen the mains and check bearing surfaces for damage, check they are the correct size, then install one main at a time, tighten properly and make sure each one turns. d

Sounds to me that you have put the bearing caps ass about buddy, always rotate engine each time you fit a bearing one by one, if it locks up you have done something wrong, start from scratch & give it a try.
