wondering what the pro's and con's of all the ford auto gearboxes with a quickshift eg c4, c10, fmx. ive been told that c4's arnt very good.

I don't know why anyone would tell you that a C4 isn't any good.
They are a great transmission and with a bit of work can be made to handle some very decent horsepower.
The C10 is pretty much the same transmission too.
The FMX is a dirty big heav

Yes the C4s have been put behind some very fast drag cars in the past. Lots of aftermarket gear available to make them pretty much bullet proof and at a much cheaper price compared to other boxes. FMX is a good box, it's weakest link being the imput sha
