whats the most efective way of sound proofing a car i have a hq ute and its noisy compared to other cars to drive cheers

For noise intrusion you can fit underlay to all of the flor panels, as high as you can get ubder the dash.

You can then paint the underside with sound deadner. This can also go inside the doors.

New seals around the window glass.

The felt underlay insulation is a old school these days and will hold water causing rust and mould if it gets wet.
I personally would never put it in a car.

Better alternative in Dyna matt. This stuff is used in Hot rods and has exceptional insulation

There is a new product "SB1" that is available at Rare Spares.It is a sound absorbtion and heat resisiant adhesive backed sheet about 1m x 1.5m.It uses the latest automotive material and is easier to use.It's about 10mm thick.Cost is about $50
