I have just brought a 78 HZ premier,308, 650 holley with vac sec and have discovered that the secondary's don't work?
Is there a way to test?
It doesn't seem that there is any vacuum coming from the inlet manifold?
Does anybody have any ideas?

It sounds like the secondary Diaphragm is u/s.The vacuum is internal in the carby.

at idle your manifold should be making vacuum. this is what keeps your secondarys closed, when you accelerate hard, the vacuum drops off, then haveing no vacuum, enables your secondarys too open.
by the way for a fairly stock to mid performance 308 I

Thanks guys.
There doesn't seem to be any vacuum at idle from the hose coming out of the manifold.
I will get a carb kit to give a new lease on life but if its not the diaphragm, what else could it be?
