What are everyone elses thoughts on the best coating or the advantages and disadvantages of what coating to use for a chassis? Powder Coating? POR15? 2Pak Paint? I ask as my is soon to be done and would like some info as to what to use.
Thanks in advance for advice and info.

Well, if your lucky enough to have Foxtel and watch American Hotrod, Boyd Coddington always gets his cars chassis Powder-coated.
To me it seems a little over the top, but he is building Rods.
I've always just cleaned off the chassis with a wire cup brus

I used POR15 on my chassis, came up great, brush or spray, tough as nails too, can just paint over surface rust. however the chassis stuff doesnt like sunlight and loses its gloss if exposed as I have found out - still bloody good stuff.

Thanks for the info. I was heading towards POR15. Did you use black or another colour? Can it be given a clear coat to keep it shiney?

I used chassis black, unsure if clear would do it because its the UV light that makes it go funny, as long as its not exposed it'll stay glossy. If you do topcoat it do it when it goes tacky, otherwise you'll have to give it a light sand when it dries as
