Hi all.
Has anyone had their car blasted to bare metal in Perth, and if so, how did it go?
Are there any recommendations for a good trustworthy blaster, to take on a classic, preferrably a bead blaster? Anyone used the mobile soda blast guy?

Thanks!
Mick

Farrace Auto in Malaga do a real nice job, they are basically restorers, they currently have my XW GT in there shop doing a complete blast, rust and paint from top to bottom and it's looking S##T hot. here's there e-mail address + phone

Thanks Mark.
I gave them a call, they said they don't do bead blasting, just sand. Is that how you went with your XW? I am not too keen on getting warped panels etc, I have a panel beater, just need to get it to bare metal...
Cheers
Mick

Sounds like soda blasting maybe the way to go mate. Complete control and no warpage. Perth Street Car has featured them a couple of times in the last year. One of the articles showed a ally can with the paint partially stripped still intact.

Thanks Scotty.
Yeah, they looked really good to me and were highly recommended so I took my car there 2 weeks ago- I found it after hours a week later- they had left it out unsecured at the front gate and in the weather to rot. Water had got into places
