I have an original HZ sandman as a 'work in progress' in the shed, which has no gearbox (originally 253 and trimatic), I also have a HJ Stato in bits which has a turbo 400... So my question is, do you think I should use the t400, or am i better off being original and sticking with the trimatic? Which one is better do you think?

Yes. Just cut about an inch off both ends, redrill the holes and tack weld on some captive nuts. Turbo pattern is Chev pattern. You need to tranfer all of the air over a bit at a time, starting with removing your dash and glovebox from the van. There are |
