What are the casting numbers on the Camaro diff?
There are two sizes in the 10 bolt diffs 8.2" and Corperate Differential 8.5"
If you have a Dana Posi-traction you will a very strong diff and this would would be the best choice in my opinion. I have a 8

Assembly Plant = Buick

Year of manufacture 1975

Your Camaro diff is most definately a Posi-traction, and 8.2" not a Corperate 8.5"
Still a very tough unit, as it is a locking LSD. Most probably from a Z/28 or an optioned Rally Sport Second Generation Camaro. Corperate 8.5" diffs have a different rear

Hey guys,
When you talk about the different rear cover - is the arc 'pressed' into the cover so it sticks out? This is what my diff has & I've just noticed it's different to pic's of other salisbury's. It kinda looks like bracing. If I can figure out hoe

Your've lost me on what size uni joint. I can give you part numbers if thats any good to you. The 3.42:1 ratio is good for off the line stuff with a little change or loss at top end. I would say with the right combination of engine internals and induction
