I was down the brake joint today and a guy at the counter was talking about a 66 Fast back Mustang stolen from a workshop/shed in the outer East of Melbourne.
These low life pond feeders moved other cars in front of the Muzzy and still pinchen her. ‘The car was covered for $75K, so this guy said.
Leaves me wondering, if they want it, they will take it.
What can be done apart from a big dog, alarm systems in the shed such as my house.

I'm thinking about putting a bollard in the driveway that goes down the side of the house which leads to the garage where I keep all my cars.
There are some briliant fold down style bollards available. They feature grinder proof locking mechanisms etc

I'm of the opinion V8GMHR,SBC stated - "if they want it, they'll get it". It sucks but there are so many cool and simple booby trap style ideas I've had over the years but I won't go ahead with them for fear of someone I know (worse still one of my boys) |

Funny I was looking at some bollards at the lock place today and thought that was a great idea. My car is just a V8 HR but I have had the odd low life sniffing around lately. My neighbour chased one off down the drive.
Neighbours are fantastic if you

I have one of those "securapost" bollards ready to install.
Because my garage slab is only 4" thick, with scattered reo (if any at all) I'm actually going to excavate down & sink the sleeve into a new lot of concrete at least 400mm deep, and 400mm x 40 |

Try welding an old wheel rim flat to the bottom of your post like an upside down T. You would need a crane to lift it out. You can then fill the hole with concret if you really want to be sure. I have a length of chain I wrap around the steering wheel an

Hidden kill switchs have kept my HQ SS mine on three seperate occasions and out of sight behind gates as worked for the last six years. Fuel cut off taps work but the car can still be driven for a distance before cutting out.

The rim idea is good John, I'll probably do that - weld the sleeve to the rim, put concrete in the hole 1/2 way, drop in the rim/sleeve so that the top of the sleeve is level with the floor, and then concrete over the rest to bring it up level with the re |

Another idea if your car isnt used a lot, raise it off the ground on jack stands take off the wheels and stack them behind the car put the wheelnuts in the boot, a mate does this with his XU1, nothings foolproof but hey it`ll slow them down.

I got 2 rotties, keeps anyone out. Neighbours know when I'm away cos dogs go off if anyone even comes near my place. Also 6ft high fence, barb wire at the top. If they can't see in it removes temptation a bit. I recon the arabs are on the right track wit

Just last weekend I think someone was sussing out my place because when I got home the wheely bin had been moved over to the gates as if someone was standing on it to look over at my cars.
My dog would have been trying to rip their faces off that's for

mate with the value of your parts and cars in the thousands just spend a few hundred on a monitored security surveillance system with infra red cameras and a recorder have them situated so they can be seen but not tampered with and signage erected it

That is true Russ but my place is pretty secure in that regard. It could be done but there is a hell of a lot of work.
They'd be better off getting a large crane and lifting the cars over the house.
I'm also aware that no matter what I do to prot
